Individual therapy consists of one on one sessions with a psychologist, lasting for aproximately 50 minutes. The Australian Psychological Society (APS) recommends an hourly session rate of $311.00 for psychologists. MindFull Psychology charges $230.00 per session.
The 'Better Access Scheme' through Medicare provides clients who obtain a mental health treatment plan, access to 10 partially subsidised psychology sessions. This means that Medicare covers a portion of the total cost for you, and you just need to cover the "gap". The medicare subsidy for clinical psychologists is $141.37, meaning that the out of pocket cost for this service is approximately $89.00. Georgina completes all claims for you, following the session.
Included in the session price are the following non-therapy related tasks occurring outside of session, to ensure that you are provided with appropriate, ethical, and professional care:
Administration- record keeping, filing, case noting, booking and scheduling appointments, invoicing, medicare claiming.
Treatment planning, session preparation, and reviewing.
Liasing with stakeholders where apropriate and requested to improve treatment outcomes. (i.e., GP letters, school support, work support).
Telehealth
I understand the difficulties associated with accessing services face to face, and as such I offer telehealth for clients of whom cannot make it to session in person.
