Georgina Larin- Clinical Psychologist/Director
I am a clinical psychologist, registered with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). I hold a Bachelor of Psychology Honours degree, and a Masters of Clinical Psychology, with endorsement as a clinical psychologist. I also hold full membership with the Australian Psychological Society (MAPS) and other bodies ensuring that I am up to date with the latest knowledge and training in mental health support.
I have extensive experience working in community settings, as well as experience working collaboratively with other psychologists in private practice as well as solo practice. I have worked with all ages, but most predominately with youth, young adults, and older adults. My areas of interest include working with at risk youth, and survivors/victims of Domestic and Intimate Partner Violence. I also enjoy helping people experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, grief and loss, relationship issues, and those who are transitioning through life changes.
I believe in a multi-faceted approach to treating the complex and individualised elements of mental illness and the impacts of general life stress. Everyone experiences things differently and I am a strong advocate for ensuring that my therapy is individually tailored to each client's needs. Some of the therapies I utilises include:
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
Dialectical Behavioural Therapy
