"I have a deep passion for helping others and for psychology overall. I work from an evidenced based and empathetic approach to help clients achieve their goals and work towards positively improving their lives. I am a strong advocate for individualising treatment to ensure it suits each person and their individual needs, as well as being flexible and working collaboratively with clients to help them feel empowered, heard, and to take steps toward leading fulfilling lives."
Georgina Larin- Clinical Psychologist/Director
I am a clinical psychologist, registered with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). I hold a Bachelor of Psychology Honours degree, and a Masters of Clinical Psychology, with endorsement as a clinical psychologist. I also hold full membership with the Australian Psychological Society (MAPS) and other bodies ensuring that I am up to date with the latest knowledge and training in mental health support.
I have extensive experience working in community settings, as well as experience working collaboratively with other psychologists in private practice and solo. I have worked with all ages, but most predominately with youth, young adults, and older adults. My areas of interest include working with at risk youth, and survivors/victims of Domestic and Intimate Partner Violence. I also enjoy helping people experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, grief and loss, relationship issues, and those who are transitioning through life changes.
I believe in a multi-faceted approach to treating the complex and individualised elements of mental illness and the impacts of general life stress. Everyone experiences things differently and I am a strong advocate for ensuring that my therapy is individually tailored to each client's needs. Some of the therapies I utilises include:
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
Dialectical Behavioural Therapy
