Psychology is most widely discussed as the study of human emotion, perception, and behaviour.
Should I see a psychologist?
Many people hold the misconception that only people with severe mental health concerns, or diagnoses should seek psychological support. However, this is not the case.
Psychology can provide us with insight into ourselves, others, and the world, and help us become better versions of ourselves. It can be a great place to have a confidential conversation with someone who is not a family member or friend, and who can provide neutral and non-biased guidance for a widely varied range of concerns. As such, anyone can benefit from psychological support- you do not need to have a mental health diagnosis or major concern to attend.
